Newton
Avenue Has the Quality Without a Name
is a 5-minute videotape, made to be shown on a monitor in a gallery situation.
The tape applies the ideas of the architect, Christopher Alexander, to
a particularly appealing street in Minneapolis. It relates Alexander's
possible, but not absolute, definitions to the visual evidence from the
location, with further perspective added through video manipulations.
Hi 8 Videography, 1998. Edited with Premiere 5.0 and Radius, 1998. Shown
in the Minneapolis College of Art & Design Gallery, November 1998.
